Today was the day of the preliminary show! The day began with rehearsal of the opening numbers and swimsuit routine for the final show, and hair & makeup for tonights events!

Rehearsal with the choreographer Sean was very tiring, but very fun! The practice was very productive and both routines are done!

The evening consisted of all 65 contestants performing their swimsuit and evening gown walks for the judges to score. Top 20 will be announced Saturday July 20th at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre! Above is a photo of myself #49 doing my swimwear walk!

Here is a photograph of my fellow Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Pageant Alumni! 🙂 It was great getting to meet them at Miss North and now we are like a family! I’m gonna miss these girls!

The evening went by very quickly, but it was so fun! And great to see everyone dressed up and in gorgeous dresses!

Today was the last day of activities, and getting to see Toronto! This morning we woke up early to go see the Giant Panda Exhibit at the Toronto Zoo. The two pandas named Er Shun (female) and Da Mao (male) are on loan from China for 10 years, they will spend the next 5 years in Toronto and then will be moved to the Alberta Zoo. The two pandas were absolutely adorable and it was my first time every seeing one in the flesh!

Then we went to the Polar Bear Exhibit and saw the two large polar bears eating a snack and walking around their area!

After enjoying our time at the zoo, we took a break from the scorching Toronto heat and came back to the Holiday Inn to rehearse our numbers for the final show on saturday, July 20th.

In the evening the MTCW girls and myself got ready to go to the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. The facility was unreal, it felt like I had taken a time machine back to the med age! We were then directed to the stadium were we sat to watch the tournament and eat our meal using our hands! It was a funny experience eating our hands but the food was delicious! The show was fantastic, unlike anything I have ever seen before! It had jousting, horseback riding, role playing of actors as King, Princess, Knights etc. as well as smoke, light, and sound effects to make the experience even more real!

I was seated in the yellow section, so my table & section cheered on the yellow knight! And when he won a part of the tournament he threw flowers for our section! It was another fun day of excitement, but now the real pageant begins!

I can’t believe it is already day four!! Wow, so today began with breakfast at Grenadier Cafe which was once again delicious then we headed by bus to Union Fit for our yoga class, while wearing our new Hi-Tech Canada Running shoes! After enjoying a challenging yet relaxing yoga class we made our way back to the hotel to rehearse for the final show!

We rehearsed for a couple of hours with our talented choreographer Sean, ate lunch and quickly changed to head to the Toronto Eaton Centre. At the Eaton Center we had the chance to go to Garage Clothing and use a $50 gift card that they donated to each of the contestants! Thank you Garage for sponsoring the MTCW pageant 2013! It was such a blast, adorable clothes, and the staff was amazing! At the mall we also had $10 giftcards for the Urban Eatery to get dinner, and I had veggies, mango chicken and noodles at Ruby Thai which was delicious!

Being at the mall was so fun, and it was so much fun taking pictures with people at the mall and shopping at one of my favourite stores! Thanks  MTCW for another amazing day!

The morning began by waking up at 3:00 am. An early start in order to be ready for the events of the day! We loaded onto the bus at 5;30 am and headed to Breakfast Television for our segment about Miss Teen Canada World 2013. The live taping went smoothly and was a great experience!

After the taping we went to Grenadier Cafe for toast, bacon and eggs for breakfast! The food was beautiful, and the views from the outdoor patio were terrific!

Following breakfast we headed downtown to visit the CN Tower. It was my first time visiting the tower and the view was incredible!

After seeing the tower and reaching the top level, we headed by bus to the Distillery District, a quaint gated area that contains numerous local artisans, bakers, and boutiques. It feels like a little Europe there inside of all the business of Toronto. It was there that we had the pageant scavenger hunt!

After completing the scavenger we dined at Cafe Uno for lunch, took some photographs with the charming surroundings and headed to the Yorkdale mall. At Yorkdale we visited Costa Blanca to do some shopping! Costa Blanca sponsored the MTCW2013 pageant and provided each one of us with a $50 gift card!

Thank you Costa Blanca for being extremely generous and friendly to the delegates of MTCW!

After getting our shop on we headed to the Much Music studio to be on a live taping of New Music Live! Being live at the studio was incredible, and I even got to meet Lauren Toyota, a host at Much that I have been watching on TV back home!

After taking pictures with the hosts and performers from the Unity Festival and Much Music we headed back to the hotel for dinner and rest! What an exhausting but eventful day!

Today was a day of nerves, excitement and experiences! Today was the day of the judges interview, photo shoot, and video interview. The day began with an early breakfast at the hotel and then hair & makeup by the team of stylists.

The judges interview is always a pageant component that makes me nervous, but it went well and I am so thankful for the judges patience and kindness! It must be tough to interview 65 contestants in one day!

After the interview I enjoyed a wonderful lunch and then went to get my hair and makeup professionally done. The photo shoot was fast but very fun! Having a fan blow at me during the pictures felt especially glamourous. I wore my favourite purple cocktail dress!

This picture is from when I wore the dress to my winter semi-formal.

Finally the video shoot was so fun to be a part of! I got to record my introduction and answer 2 questions on camera! Overall the day was absolutely spectacular and another incredible day of Miss Teen Canada World 2013!

Today I woke up with so much excitement to finally head to Miss Teen Canada World 2013, a time for all my hard work to pay off! I woke up early this morning, finished packing my things, and headed for the airport. The flight was calm and short, but not short enough! I arrived at the hotel and met my roommate for the week in the lobby, and the experience began to feel real.

After registration,  I handed in all of my information and headed to the welcome party! The welcome party had booths and representatives of the sponsors for the Miss Teen Canada World 2013 pageant and the official charity. The booths were Free the Children,  Golden Glamour Goddesses, Hi-Tec Canada, Pretty Sweet and Schwarzkopf!

It was a great opportunity to learn more about Free the Children and the countries that they are making a difference in. Pictured above are the two representatives from Free the Children.

Above is myself and one of the owners of  Golden Glamour Goddesses, who showed us a demonstration of one of their amazing spray tans!

Here was a cookie from the Pretty Sweet Booth! It was absolutely delicious!

Here is the representative from Schwarzkopf! Who had some great hair tips!

Myself holding an amazing Hi-Tec Canada Sneaker! That I will have a pair of to rock around Toronto next week!

I would like to extend a personal thank you to these amazing sponsors of the Miss Teen Canada World Pageant 2013! Your sponsorship is greatly appreciated!
